Thursday, August 11
2:00 p.m. in the Senior Building
This year there will be three craft options, with all three available each day! Cost will be donations.
Craft #1: 8x10 Canvas Painting
We will have a small selection of stencils to use or you can paint anything you desire on an 8 x 10 canvas. Stencils will include "happy camper" themes, Michigan/mitten themes, "LOVE" theme (with the MI mitten where the "O" is), and the tree cutout from the St. Louis Campground's logo.
Craft #2: Ball jar crafts
We will have ribbons, paints, jute twine, hot glue guns and Mod Podge available to decorate a pint Ball jar for one of two crafts:
One LED luminary provided per jar.
-Water gel bead air freshener
Choose from multiple colors of water gel beads, which can be soaked in water mixed with essential oils to create a scented room freshener. Gel beads expand when soaked in water and absorb the essential oil, creating a long-lasting scented addition to any room in your house.
Craft #3: Rock Painting
Pull up a chair and get ready to rock it out! Many stones this year are from the shores of Lake Superior, hand picked by Beth and Emily Holm! Paint pens, paints, brushes, small stencils, and Mod Podge will be available to decorate your stone(s) any way you like! Last year, we had quite a variety of ideas: From ladybugs, to owls, to a camper, and even a dotted mandala! Come show your creative side and paint a rock for your garden or just anywhere you want!
